Recent Drainage Works: CCTV Inspection Before Patch Lining
At Unity Drainage Solutions, we regularly inspect drainage systems to identify problems that may require cleaning, repair or specialist drainage solutions.
During a recent drainage job in Glasgow, our team carried out a CCTV inspection of the pipework before preparing for patch lining works.
CCTV inspection allows our team to see the internal condition of the drainage pipe and assess the location and nature of any defects before deciding on the appropriate repair method.
CCTV inspection before repair
The CCTV footage from the inspection showed the internal condition of the existing pipework.

Having a clear view inside the pipe is an important part of planning drainage repairs. It allows the condition of the pipe to be assessed before repair work begins.

A further CCTV view showed a significantly cleaner and clearer section of the pipe.

The CCTV inspection and preparation process helps provide a clearer view of the pipework before the next stage of the repair.
Preparing for patch lining
Patch lining can be used as a localised drainage repair method where the condition of the pipe makes it suitable.
Rather than automatically excavating the surrounding area, the drainage system can first be inspected to determine the location and extent of the problem.
Our team is currently carrying out patch lining and high pressure water jetting (HPWJ) works as part of our drainage services across Glasgow and beyond.
We'll be sharing further photographs from this project as the work progresses.
